How Do I Get a Platinum Site?

Step 1 - Purchase a Domain Name. We will be happy to register a domain name on your
behalf. The cost of the domain name is $ 12.95 per year. If you already own a domain name, change the DNS settings in your user profile to:
ns1.xphost.net (216.176.187.51)
ns2.xphost.net (216.176.187.52)

Step 2 - Fill out our online order form and pay online via credit card or Pay Pal.
Note: If you choose to pay by check, your site will not be set up until payment is
received in our offices.

That's it! We take care of all of the configuration and set up!

How long does it take to set up?
The Platinum configuration takes 2 business days after your payment is received by Extreme. If you successfully point your domain to Extreme Programming's DNS within that time frame, then your site will be up in 2 business days. Most delays occur because the agent's inability to change their domain settings to xphost.net (Extreme's DNS server).

How do I change my DNS settings?
If the domain name was registered by Extreme-Programming, the name is already pointing to our servers. There is no need to make any DNS changes. If your name was purchased elsewhere, you can change the DNS settings by logging in to your account and making the changes in your domain name profile. For help with this, you should contact your domain name registrar or check out their FAQ.

What else is included in the Platinum package?
The basic Platinum package ($199) includes only the software that powers your site. You are responsible for purchasing and pointing your domain name to Extreme's DNS. Also included with the basic package is 1 email alias (bob@mydomain.com) which will forward all mail received by your site to your real email address.
If you want to add email POPs (boxes that hold your mail on the server), the cost is just $25 for 5 boxes (per year, not per month).

How do I access my Control Panel?
Your control panel URL is {yourdomain.com}/private. For example, if your domain name is "cheaprates.org", your control panel will be located at cheaprates.org/private

What if I already have a website/mirror site hosted with Extreme Programming?
By signing up with the Platinum Package, your 'service expires' date will be extended 1 year. Example: If you have 3 months of hosting left and you sign up for the Platinum, your service will be pre-paid for 15 months.

What are the second year and third year projected costs for the Platinum Basic Package, a la carte items excepted?
Your Platinum site costs after the first year will be:

1 -the cost of your domain name renewal
2 -the Platinum hosting renewal @ $ 9.95 per month.

Both items are commissionable and will count as "active residual accounts" on your commission report.

Can I get a bulk discount for buying more than one platinum package?
No, each platinum site is priced at $199 per unit.

How long will it take for my ala-carte POP Email and logo purchase to be completed?
The POP Email boxes will be set up within 1 business day of ala-carte order reciept. An
email with the POP Email box set up instructions will be sent to you when the order is complete.

How do I get a logo for the Platinum site?
Our logos are designed by our talented graphic designers. You can choose a very affordable logo suitable for your website, or for printing as well. Once you place your design order, we will create the logo, then addd it to your Platinum site.

Why does the platinum site not have ALL of Cognigen's products and services?
The Platinum site is a limited site that focuses on a few key best-selling items. This limitation is counter-balanced by the increase in marketing tools (BottomLine Bill Calculator). Be advised that not all Cognigen products will be listed on the platinum site.
